Jamini Roy College library was established at the very beginning of the college established. College provides an extensive library and range of information services to support the students and staff for class room learning and enable students to study more effectively. Apart from textbooks, the Library has got reference books on every subject. Along with books, the library purchases and subscribes e-Journals, periodicals of both popular and specialized nature, newspaper in English and Bengali. Students are encouraged to take full advantage of the College Library, There is a Reading Room Section attached to the Library affording facilities for quiet study. The Library is fully computerized by the software SOUL, allowing functions like issue, return, OPAC search, and availability assessment of books, easy and user friendly. We have bar-coded our document collections. Every student and staff is identified by his / her membership card, i.e. library card issued by the Library.
