DISTINCTIVENESS OF JAMINI ROY COLLEGE: SERVICE TO MANKIND AND HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE STUDENTS:
 

Nurturing National Spirit: The National Anthem is played every day on public address system provided from MPLAD funds.

Spiritual Outlook: Spiritual nurturing is being attempted by the college authority by inviting Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalay to guide the students.

Students' Social Contribution Under Guidance of NSS: From genuine efforts at making college events successful to the organisation of awareness camps, the NSS Unit is the strongest pillar of Jamini Roy College. They help in the extension of support to the staff, students and the local society. Their extension activities are generally carried out at Nutangram, the local village adopted by the NSS Unit. They carry out several activities like blood donation camp, cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, awareness programme against superstition, programme under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, etc. In rural areas, the Volunteers work contribute greatly towards the welfare of people. 

Cultural Activities: Under the guidance of the Cultural Subcommittee and other faculty members, students of Jamini Roy College regularly take part in cultural activities. The students participate in
cultural competitions within and outside the college.

Ragging Free Environment: We are proud to report that there is no ragging incident in the campus. The relations between students, teachers and staff is extremely cordial. Posters against ragging are displayed in the campus. The staff also make students aware of the issue.
 

Plastic Free & Green Campus: The college staff put special emphasis on maintaining a plastic free and green campus. Several initiatives are taken to plant different kinds of trees in the campus. Students are encouraged to avoid using plastic items as much as possible outside the college campus as well. Poster against the use of plastic is displayed in the campus.
